(Mon) 1st XI v Barnard Castle (a) - won by 4 wickets
2 wickets apiece for Sam Wood, Craig Swainston, Craig Marshall and Toby Bulcock contributed to restricting Barnard Castle to 143-8 from their 50 overs. Despite 44 not out from Mike Layfield, a lower order bailout was needed from Craig Swainston, who scored 29 not out to see Richmondshire over the line in the 43rd over.
2nd XI v Guisborough II (a) - lost by 5 wickets
Number 9 Tom Stockton top scored with 33 as Richmondshire limped to 128 all out at Fountains Garth. Some Richmondshire bowlers returned tidy figures but despite this Guisborough knocked off the runs 5 down in the 33rd over.
3rd XI v Redcar III (h) - won by 185 runs
Contributions from Richmondshire's all-junior top 3 of Adam Langhorne (81), Matthew Price (35) and Owen Kelly (47) followed up by 40 from Clive Layfield saw Richmondshire reach 262-4. 3-31 from Tom Stockton and 5 wickets between the father-son combo of Andy and James Kelly reduced Redcar to 77 all out, handing Richmondshire a massive victory.
4th XI v Raby Castle (h) - lost by 5 wickets
Thanks to 72 from Clive Layfield, Richmondshire posted 168-5 at Gilling. However, Richmondshire leaked runs in the field and Raby Castle plundered their way to the target in just 23 overs.
5th XI v Nunthorpe (n) - lost by 4 wickets
League newcomers Nunthorpe bowled Richmondshire out for 82 in a game played at Middleton Tyas due to fixture congestion. Johnny Carlton's 3-13 were the best figures returned by a Richmondshire bowler as Nunthorpe eased their way to the target comfortably.
U17 v Sedgefield (a) - lost by 2 runs
Despite losing just 2 wickets, Sedgefield stayed below 6 an over, putting 116 on the board. Sam Winter (20), Joe Shields (39) and Owen Kelly (33) made a good effort of the chase but Richmondshire finished agonisingly close on 114-5.
U15 v Darlington R.A. (a) - won by 111 runs
Gary Walker and Matthew Price retired after unbeated fifties as Richmondshire amassed 181 runs, a feat which seems even more incredible seeing as they were actually bowled out before the end of their allotted 20 overs. Jack Smith took 4-10 as R.A. fell a long way short on 70-9.
