Richmondshire's Under 15s are through to the Yorkshire semi-final in the National Knockout, following a bye and wins against North Stainley and Rockingham. Highlights of the campaign so far include Sam Winter's 50*, Tom Dowson's 46, and Mark Walker's 3-9 against North Stainley and Tom Spensley's rapid 44 against Rockingham.
In league and cup, the Under 15s have lost just one game in 2016.
The Under 13s have also started the season well, getting through their group in the cup, including the all-important comprehensive derby wins away against Darlington at Feethams and away to Barnard Castle.
The Under 11s lost the core of their playing squad due to old age at the end of last season, but it is pleasing to see so many players hit the ground running in their first season of competitive cricket, and with some more match experience they will surely add to their tally of wins. Thanks to the new Under 9s league, players with match experience will surely soon be ready for the step up to hard ball cricket at Under 11s.
